Where Is the Bermuda Triangle?
By Megan Stine
Where is the Bermuda Triangle?
Many ships and airplanes have gone missing in the Bermuda Triangle. It’s still a mystery how they disappeared.
The Deadly Triangle
This is where the Bermuda Triangle is located.
The first person that we know of to sail close to the Bermuda Triangle was Christopher Columbus. He sailed into the Sargasso Sea which covers half of the Bermuda Triangle.
Lost at sea
More and more ships started to disappear. Then a huge ship called the Atalanta disappeared. The weird thing was a year later it was found abandoned by the captain of a ship called Ellen Austin. He sent his men to check it out and bring it back with them. The ships got separated by bad weather but when they saw the ship again it was empty. Not even his members were on the ship.
Another ghost ship
More and more ships started to disappear. Then one day a ship called the Carroll A. Deering was spotted. Onboard were only two cats and no people. There was still food cooking but most of the captains and crews' stuff were gone. No one knows for sure what happened.
Lost in the sky
Not only ships went missing but planes did too. Most planes disappeared without a trace but sometimes parts of planes were found. The strangest thing was no plane signaled help.
Strange answers
After a while people started to come up with possible answers. One was that the magnetic forces around the Bermuda triangle were weird, but no one knew for sure.
The librarian detective
After a while a librarian Larry Kusche started looking for answers. He looked everywhere like newspapers that went back to the 1840s, weather reports, and even got in touch with the Us Coast Guard. Finally, he found some answers like flight 19 which happened by wrong decisions, not working compasses, and bad connection.
Mysteries solved
Larry kept on solving mysteries but there were some which he could not solve like Joshua Slocum who sailed across the world.
Unsolved
Scientists are still trying to find out what is going on in the Bermuda triangle. And we might never know what happened to the ghost ships because there is not enough info. Who was Leonardo da Vinci By: Roberta Edwards
An unwanted boy
As a young kid, no one cared for him. Even his dad and mom left him. Only his uncle Francesco showed interest in him. He was the one who brought Leonard on hikes and that is where Leonardo found his love for nature. On these walks Leonardo would carry a small notebook and draw anything he wanted. And Leonardo was actually very good. His pictures looked real so when his father found out he gave him a job at an art studio that changed his life forever.
The art studio
Leonardo started working at the art studio. He started as an apprentice but quickly moved up. Soon he was doing very important paintings like paintings of Jesus. After one of the paintings of the baptism of Jesus Leonardo”s dad Verrocchio realized how talented Leonardo was. After that Leonardo did sculptures but stopped painting.
The wider world
In the mid-1400s they invented book printing. Leonardo already knew how to read, write, and do simple math but he wanted to learn more, so he began collecting books to teach himself. Aso in the mid-1400s an artist named Filippo Brunelleschi found a way to make drawings look real. There were rules like the farther the object the smaller it had to be. Leonardo followed those rules and made rules for himself like he blurred the hill into the background just a bit so it looked like it was very far away. In 1478 Leonardo finished a painting of the scene of the Annunciation. It looked real. The Annunciation is one in 13 paintings that experts are sure Leonardo painted. Leonardo died in his sixties so why did he paint so few? He had to draw a lot of paintings before the final one cause everything had to be perfect. He also had trouble sticking to a project because when it was almost done he would get bored. By 1478 Florence was not a pleasant place anymore. War had begun. At that time Leonardo was thirty and he decided to move to Milan to work for a scheming duke named Ludovico Sforza.
Moving on
Leonardo moved to Milan and started working for Ludovico Sforza. No one knows for sure what Leonardo sent to get the job but Leonardo ended up getting the job. Leonardo started to do projects for Ludovico Sforza. The projects were big like Ludovico Sforza made Leonardo make a giant horse sculpture. In the beginning the horse sculpture was supposed to be covered in bronze but that never happened. Instead it was used to make canons because war had broken out in Milan. The giant horse statue was destroyed. Leonardo was not to blame but the next project that Ludovico gave him, it was partly his fault what happened to it. Ludovico wanted Leonardo to paint a fresco in a dining room. Leonardo spent days working and painting. At the end he finished. The drawing is called The Last Supper. It was amazing but 50 years later it started to peel and chips started to fall off. This is because Leonardo experimented with the paint. Also in Milan is where Leondardo took in a 10-year-old boy named Salai. The boy was a troublemaker. But no matter how much trouble he got into Leonardo still spoiled him. Maybe it is because Leonardo had no family, so the little boy felt like family.
Wandering
After the war Leonardo along with Salai and some of Leonardo’s friends left Milan. Leonardo did not have a home and took very little with him on his trips. Leonardo did take notebooks. In them were drawings and ideas. He wanted to write an encyclopedia about everything. He never finished but the pages were and still are beautiful. He put his theories and inventions in the notebooks. One was to make a machine that could let people fly. He even studied humans by opening them up. The drawing looked so real. Most of the notebook got lost but we have found some.
The battle of artist
In Leonardo’s time he was not the only great artist. There were two other artists. Raphael and Michangelo. Raphael admired Leonardo but sadly died young. Michelangelo hated Leonardo. He hated Leonardo so much he would actually mock Leonardo. They even once had a competition. They were both asked to paint a fresco in the main government building of Florence. They were to paint different scenes from famous battles that Florence won. Leonardo drew many drawings before transferring it on to the wall. Of course Leonardo did not want to paint a normal fresco and instead expermited. He used oil paints then he would use coal fire to make them dry faster. At the end it did not work. At the end Leonardo left a mess and left Also, Michelangelo never finished.
Leonardo's ladies
Even though Leonardo did not finish most of his projects there are some he did finish. One is the Mona Lisa. No one knows why Leonardo painted the Mona Lisa as he said painting brings me no joy. Maybe because he needed money or something. It took years but when Leonardo finished the painting he took it everywhere until he died. It’s still a mystery who Lisa the girl in the portrait is and why it is so famous. Leonardo also did other portraits of ladies like Young Girl With Ermine. All the portraits look real but each have a different mood.
Losses
In 1504, Leonardo’s father died and in 1507, his uncle died. Leonardo’s father had no will so at the end Leonardo got nothing but, his uncle did have a will. Everything was left to Leonardo but soon his half sisters and brothers were angry. They went to court and at the end Leonardo could only use his uncle's land and money, and when he died it would go to his relatives. At the end he stayed with one of his patrons. His patron was also a king who provided a nice home with a garden to Leonardo, Salai, and Leonardo’s friend. Leonardo brought his book collection, his notebooks, and three of his paintings and one was the Mona Lisa. The king would come and talk to Leonardo every day. At the end Leonardo died there. Where is Niagara Falls? By Megan Stine
A terrible beauty
The first people to see Niagara Falls were Native Americans. We don't know for sure what happened, but we can imagine. The first white man to ever see Niagara Falls was named Father Louis Hennepin. He and his men wanted to set camp at the river and that's when they saw the Falls. Father Hennepin was so scared he began to pray. Around seventy years later another man went to the Falls and when he got back he published his diary of what he found. After that many people wanted to go see Niagara Falls.
A town is born
After a while many tourists came. The more adventurous tourists would even go behind the waterfall. Soon people started to build hotels and shops. A person named Augustus Porter bought a lot of the land of the Falls on America and bought Goat island.
A boy, a kite, and a bridge
Soon more and more people started to come. More hotels and resorts started to be built and there were even a boat. The only problem was they wanted to build a bridge, but they wanted it to be close to the falls. The falls were 8 feet long, so they needed to use a cord to hold the bridge up. If they used a boat to drag the cord along the boat would crash with the rocks. People came up with many ideas but at the end they decided to make a kite contest. Basically the contest was who can fly a kite from Canada to America and would win $10. A young boy named Homan Walsh did it. It took him two times because the first time his kite broke. After that more cables and strings were attached to the kite string and a bridge was built. After that more bridges were built and some collapsed.
Daredevils
As more people started to come daredevils came. The first one was Sam Patch, he jumped from high places into the Jersey rivers and lakes. In 1829, a poster appeared in the Niagara saying that Sam would leap at the falls on Saturday, October 17, at 3 o'clock. When the day came he jumped off a very high platform. The first time he was lucky and did not die but the second he hit some rocks and died. After that more daredevils came to the Falls, some seceded and some died but there was one that was the most famous of them all.
Over Niagara Falls in a Barrel
Carlisle Graham had ridden inside a large handmade barrel through the Whirlpool Rapids in the river below the falls 4 times. On his 5 he announced that he would go down the Falls in a barrel but never did. A woman named Annie Edson Taylor heard about that she wanted to try. She was 63 years old and was a school and ballroom teacher plus her husband already died. The first thing she did was find someone to help build her barrel. She designed her barrel which had straps and 3 air holes. She found someone to advertise and when the day came she climbed into the barrel. She strapped herself in, added some pillows to protect her, and then a bicycle pump pumped air into the holes then the holes were sealed. When she was about to go over she noticed there was a leak. Will she survive?
Defying Death
For a long time the barrel drifted peacefully then it soon started to turn and rock when it reached the rapids. Then it stopped. The barrel had reached the edge. As she started to go over she screamed “oh lord.” Then when she landed it fell silent. Will she ever get up?she was under there for a while then the rapids pushed her up and into the air. The barrel landed with a crash and then was sent into the cavern. She was tossed for a few minutes more before tossed in the air onto the rocks. Some men opened the barrel. Annie did not have enough strength to climb out. At the end they had to cut open the barrel. After her stunt she was fine but she made no money out of it. One person even stole the barrel!
Turning water into electricity
As much as 750,000 gallons of water fall over the edge of the Falls every second. That is a lot of power so when Agustus Porter built the first water mill at the falls he knew he could only use a little bit of water from the falls. He built a small canal to direct some of the water off to the side. He ran several water wheels at a time. It sent power to business and lights 16 street lights. Meanwhile a young man named Nikola Tesla came up with a different idea. Tesla was a genius and when he came up with some ideas about a new kind of electricity called “alternating current.” He told Edison (the inventor of the light bulb) about his idea but Edison wouldn’t listen and cheated him! So Tesla quit his job and went to another inventor named George Westinghouse. Westinghouse liked the idea and paid Tesla 2.50 dollars for every horsepower created. At the end it worked and Tesla became rich.
Come to Niagara Falls
For more than 150 years people have been visiting Niagara Falls. The more people that came, the more the town of the falls tried to think up fun reasons for people to visit. Like in 1899, the city built a huge castle out of ice! Just to name some, there are rides, trails, and 3-D movies. Overall Niagara Falls is a great place to visit. Resistance
Chap: 1
A young Jewis teenage girl named Chaya Linder pretends to be non-Jewish Polish and forges papers to get around ghettos. Her family and everything she had was taken away from her. Now she goes around places giving potatoes to Jewish children in camps.
Chap: 2
Chaya’s childhood was almost perfect. She even had a younger sister,Shara, and brother,Yitzchak. Then one day the Germans invaded her country’s capital and that's when war began. Germans started making Jewish people do labor. Soon Jewish people had to wear a star pin and were mocked. The worst was when they were sent to live in an apartment. The apartment that was tiny and Chaya was put on a list to leave the city.
Chap: 3
On the third day of living on the streets she passed a sign for the village of Kopaliny and remembered that her Jewish scout group leaders ,Shimshon and Gusta Draenger, lived there and started to live there. Soon more people from their scout group came and a person called Dolek gave them news on what was going on. Then when winter was almost over Chaya heard devastating news. Dolek told her, her sister was put to death and her brother disappeared. That evening at dinner they all discussed the problem and all agreed that they would fight back. When everyone went to bed Gusta asked if Chaya would want to be courier and she said yes. From that day she joined a resistance group called Akiva.
Chap: 4
Her first task was to smuggle something through Tarnow Ghetto. When she arrived a tall boy named Fisher approached her and brought her to an apartment. Inside was a mother with her baby which was Chaya's package. The baby was on sleeping pills and the pill was starting to wear off. Fisher and Chaya left and went to the gate. Chaya went to one of the guards and handed him her forged papers. Then the baby started to awake. Chaya lied and said she was sick to get out of there. The guard let her pass and Chaya hid near a church. Then a priest came and took the baby.
Chap: 5
Chaya relocated inside Krakow’s ghetto where her parents lived. Chaya visited her parents a few times since she became a courier. Once she tried to give them fake ids to escape but they did not want them, instead they said they would think about it. Chaya lived in one of their member's apartment. Soon the Akiva was split into groups. Chaya started training and her group was assigned to take supplies from a german train.
Chap: 6
Soon the raid began. Chaya had to jump onto a moving train. Right on time at 10:14 the train started to move and Chaya jumped onto the train. She could not see what the boxes were labeled but when it was time to push a box out of the train she chose ones that were heavier and pushed them out. She did the same the next 2 times before jumping off the train. Chaya skinned her elbow when she hit the ground but she quickly hid behind some bushes. A couple minutes later Rubin and Meriam came and it turned out that 1 crate had canned stew, 2 crates of potatoes, and some military field supplies.
Chap: 7
A girl named Esther joined their group. This time they had to get into a train yard to steal things from a train. They got in and started reading the labels on the carts. Then Jakub grabbed a box of dried meat and jumped off. All of a sudden a Nazi shot him. Without thinking Chaya shot the guard and ran with Esther. Esther was slow so Chaya dragged her by the arm and then went to hide under a pile of leaves. Before they got there they heard Nasis coming so they hid against a wall. Chaya heard a soldier shoot the leaves where they would have been. Everyone met at the safe house and Jakub was fine but he did have a gun shot in his leg.
Chap: 8
The Akiva was growing in number and they still carried on with their traditions including Shabbat. That night was Shabbat. All the members did their prayers and ate then the group leaders told them that their next task was in a month near Christmas. They would get their role and what they had to do soon.
Chap: 9
On the day of the attack Chaya was supposed to go to Cyganeria Café. Her cell and some other cells were going to attack. Chaya had 3 grenades. When she got there many other people from her cell were already there. She waited until Dolek gave the sign at the exact time they attacked. Soon Nazi’s started shooting, and everyone started to run. They were supposed to meet at the bunker but because of Nazi’s that were on the streets searching for the bomber. Chaya ran to her safe house. She stayed there for a couple of days.
Chap: 10
When Chaya went back to the bunker no one was there and there were bullet holes on the door and blood on the floor. She decided to stay in the safe house. One day she decided it was a matter of time before Nazi’s would find her, so she sarted to pack and find another resistance group to join. That's where she found a note under the door which was from someone from Akiva. It read that someone would meet Chaya at point B tomorrow which was Kraków's old town at the usual time which was 9 in the morning. After Chaya remembered it she flushed it down the toilet and started to think through every detail.
Chap: 11
Chaya decided to go see her parents one last time. This time she would sneak cans of soup past the ghetto. Once she pasted the ghetto she passed out some cans of soup to children but saved 2 for her parents. Then she went to her parents apartment which was now shared by some other families and gave them the soup. Then asked about the forged id cards and if they were going to use them but sadly they said no. After saying her goodbyes she left.
Chap: 12
Chaya went to point B and saw Esther. Esther said everyone who went back to the bunker either got killed on the spot or brought to a jail. Then she said they were going to Lodz the most dangerous ghetto. Chaya only brought in her bag money some weapons. They set off and got on the train without drawing too much attention.
Chap: 13
Soon a man started talking to Chaya about the elimination of the Jewish people but Esther started speaking up and saying that what the Germans were doing was evil. Then a woman pulled a cord that made the train stop. Quickly Chaya and Esther got up and went to an exit. They saw a Nazi come and before he could grab them the woman said her son accidentally pulled the cord. The Nazi took her and Chaya and Esther left the train.
Chap: 14
The road to Lodz had many woods. Chaya and Esther walk the rest of the day passing houses and ignoring the freezing cold. Finally, when the sun was setting Esther spotted a house that looked abandoned. Chaya and Esther went but just to make sure in case the house was not abandoned they went into the barn behind the house. The barn was filled with straw that kept them warm all night. In the morning they filled their jackets with straw and left. They got the Lodz which had barbed wire everywhere but officers patrolled the area. Chaya and Esther decided they would sneak in at night.
Chap: 15
They started looking for a good spot to get in. It started snowing when night began to fall. When no one was looking they started to break in. there was already a small hole where they could sneak in. then all of a sudden a man grabbed Chaya on the shoulder. He threatened to tell the Nazi’s that Chaya and Esther where there but he would not if they gave them one of there bags. Nazi’s started coming so they gave him Esther’s bag but he grabbed Chaya’s. Esther went in and what she saw made her scarred
Chap: 16
After Chaya went through she saw women digging in trash. They were digging for scrapes and when Esther and Chaya walked through they started attacking Esther's bag and Esther let out a scream. When Chaya pulled them off she saw how bad they looked and gave them the potatoes in Esther's bag. Then they heard the Nazis coming because they probably heard Esther’s scream. Chaya and Esther quickly ran but a Jewis officer stopped them. Esther gave them a potato that she had grabbed in the fight and gave it to him. He let them go and right when they did a young boy(Avraham) called them over.
Chap: 17
They got in an old building and went to the third floor. In there they saw two other teeangers who were starving. A girl(Sara) and a boy(Henryk). They where some of the only children left after the Nazi’s took the other children away. Chaya tried to convince them to fight and join the Resistance but they refused. That night Chaya and Esther were talking when Chaya asked Esther where were you before you came to Krakow but Esther did not answer.
Chap: 18
All of a sudden they heard gunshots and Avraham helpt Chaya and Esher go to the fire escape. He told them to get into the basement of the factory to escape. Then Nazi’s came and shot Sara, Henryk, and Avraham. Chaya and Esther went to the factory to escape but all the doors and windows were locked. Then Esther saw a window a little bit open and climbed a tree and got in. she told Chaya that she would open the door for her and she should wait. Chaya waited but the door was still locked.
Chap: 19
She remembered that she had a hair pin but she never had picked a lock before. As she was twisting the hair pen in the lock Esther unlocked the door. Esther had found the basement. All of a sudden they heard Nazi’s come in. They hid and Esther threw a bullet to detract them. They quickly ran into the basement and Esther went through the window. When Chaya was about to go threw she heard a Nazi shout stop right there. She turned to see a Nazi. Chaya was able to talk the Nazi soulder to let her go and she went threw the window. Then Esther said that their next package was to help people in Warsaw. German were coming to kill everyone in Warsaw.
Chap: 20
They went to the train station and saw Nazi soulders everywhere. They were probably looking for them. Warsaw was over a hundred and thirty kilometers away, and it would take them over a week to get there. When Esther and Chaya were talking about how to get there Esther started asking questions like did Chaya believe in god. Then Esther asked about murder and Chaya relised that she wanted to know what to believe in. Soon Chaya told Esther to stop. Then they found a small woodshed and stayed the night there.
Chap: 21-24
They woke up and started walking. On their way they found a woman with eggs. They talked but she did not seem nice. Soon a man came and asked what Chaya and Esther were doing. They said they were going to their grandmothers and he offered them a ride. On the way he said he knew they were jewis and that he could take care of them. They said no and he took them to a ride and said stay on this path as long as you can. Esther and Chaya kept on walking and talking when they walked into a battle site. They walked and found a German tank and stayed there. In the morning Chaya and Esther looked for food and weapons in the tank. They found a bunch of food, a bag, radio, bullets but the bullets did not match the gun Chaya brought. Esther and Chaya set off in the afternoon and Esther asked Chaya about her family. Chaya told her about her mom dad and what happened to her sister and brother. Then Esther tried to talk about her family but couldn’t
Chap: 25-30
They kept on walking and found a barn. They stayed there but a few hours later they heard people. Chaya went to hide but Esther accidentally stepped in some hay and Nazi soulders barged in and grabbed her and put her in a car. Then they burnt down the barn. Chaya was able to grab both of their bags and get out. She started following the car stracks and realised Eshter’s bag was as heavy as hers. Esther was probably suffering the same things Chaya was. Chaya kept following the tracks until it led to a paved road. She decided to turn right and not go forward. Once she got into a town she hid the bags and a soldier found interest in her and followed. Chaya asked the soldier about the prison and what happened to the girl that was brought in. She found the building and stole a match. She also stole a cup and lit the prison on fire. She found Esther and rescued her. Esther's face and neck was badly beaten and her hand was bandaged. Chaya and Esther started heading to Warsaw. On the way they had to pass a freezing lake and cold weather. Then when they were in a forest they found Rubin. Rubin joined a group and took them in. He took Eshter to the group's doctor and told Chaya that she shouldn't go to Warsaw.
Chap: 31-38
The next morning Chaya and Esther left. Rubin and some other people offered a ride and brought them to the city. That’s where Chaya and Esther got off and where a woman saw Esther. The woman came over and started screaming at Esther. Chaya took Esther and asked what that was about. Esther told Chaya how her dad worked for the Nazi and how she was taken away. Chaya was mad but she couldn’t show it. Esther brought Chaya through hidden tunnels into the ghetto. Then someone found them and brought them into a resistance group called ZOB. That's where Chaya found Yitzchak. The ZOB started preparing for the war by digging bunkers, making weapons, collecting food and other supplies, and trying to get as many people as they can to join.. When the Germans hit they beat them up. The Germans retreated many times and ZOB killed a lot of their soldiers. Only one of ZOB’s people was killed. On the Radio they heard that the Germans were coming with a new strategy and that they would win the fight.
Chap: 39-49
Soom the Nazi’s where bombing and using flameflrowers. Chaya got shot in the leg and they had to use a thread and needle to stitch it. Chaya had to rest for a few days while Yitzchak and Esther went to battle. After a few days Chaya went to battle. Buildings burned and more innocent people and resistance members died. Resistance members did get weapons from the Polish people who wanted to help but it was not enough. Then when Eshter, Yitzchak, and Chaya were hiding they got orders to save as many citizens as possible. That is when Esther told Chaya that she was the package and she knew a route to get out. Esther led them into a sewer and 20 other people were there. She led them then a Nazi droped a gas bomb into the sewer. One of the people used their body to cover it when Eshter led the others. After some time they heard a Nazi and Esther gave up her life so the others could go. Before that she gave Chaya a note and the directions to the exit. The note was supposed to be read on the radio. Chaya and the others went out and found Rubin and some others who drove them to a farm. A farmer got them cloth and food. Chaya and Yitzchak left with Rubin to continue fighting. The Things our Father Saw

From the Desk of Zoe Washingten
Chap: 1-15
Zoe is a 12 year old girl who’s dad ,Marcus. is in jail for murder and she has a step dad and mom. One summer she got a letter from her dad who was in prison. Zoe kept the letter a secret because she knew her mom wouldn’t want her to talk to him. Meanwhile she wanted to join a cooking competition and her parents agreed, but she needed to do work at a cafe to prove that she was ready. She didn't mind because she had no one to hang out with. One of her best friends,Jasmine, just moved away, another one,Maya, was at camp, and the last one, Trevor, that she was mad at. Zoe decided to write to her dad a letter asking about his life and interests. Her dad responded and Zoe learned a lot about him like he liked cooking and music. Zoe was going to send another letter back but when she did her grandmother found out. Zoe’s grandmother said it was fine and she wasn't going to tell Zoe’s mom. Then Zoe’s grandmother said that Zoe had to write a letter to her dad with her grandma's address so Zoe’s grandmother could read the letters Marcus sent before Zoe did. That’s what Zoe did. The next time she received a letter from her dad. He said he was innocent for the crime he did. Zoe and her grandmother went to the library and Zoe decided to go and read about innocent people being put in jail. There she found out that could happen and there was even an organization that helped prove the person was innocent. When she was done reading she saw Treves and started walking away. Treves asked what she was doing here and Zoe told Treves everything that was happening with her dad even though she was still mad at him. They decided to go search Marcus up and they found out he was convicted of having murdered Lucy, a girl he knew in college. A witness reported “seeing” Lucy climbing out of Marcus’s apartment on the day of the murder. Zoe and Treves couldn't believe what they just read. They kept on reading until Zoe had to go meet up with her grandmother to go home. Zoe’s grandmother checked out her book because Zoe didn’t have any and they left.
Chap: 15-22
Zoe kept searching on the murder of Lucy. She didn’t find anything new but Marcus had told her he had a witness who saw him during the time of the murder. Zoe had told Trevor why she was mad at him and they got back together, and Zoe was trying to find a new cupcake flavor to impress the people who worked in the cafe. One night Zoe tried to tell her mom about talking to Marcus but her mom got mad, so Zoe stopped trying to talk about Marcus. She sent another letter to Marcus asking about the case and some recipes for cooking. A few days later she got another letter from Marcus. It was a recipe for mac and cheese. It also included the idea for a cereal flavored cupcake, and a scheduled date and time so they could talk on the phone. The next day Zoe and her grandma went to the store and bought cereal for Zoe’s recipe. When they got back Trevor was there. Trevor and Zoe taste tested all the cereal and Zoe decided to do cereal milk. That night she made a few batches until she ran out of ingredients. On the day of the call, Zoe went to work. After work her grandma picked her up and they went to Zoe’s grandmother's house. They waited until Marcus called and Zoe finally got to hear his voice. They talked and scheduled another call the next day. The next day Zoe went to her grandmother’s house and baked the mac and cheese that Marcus had sent the receipt to her. Marcus called and Zoe asked about his witness. Zoe learned that the witness name was Susan Thomas and some other stuff.
Chap: 23-27
Zoe’s grandma told Zoe if she went to look for Susan she would tell Zoe’s parents. Zoe lied and said she would not look for Susan. When she got home she talked with Trevor and he agreed to help. They searched for Susan online and found two people who matched the description of the one Marcus had told Zoe. It turned out that both of them weren't the ones they were looking for. Zoe did perfect her cupcake recipe though. Trevor and Zoe kept searching and found another person who matched and she was a teacher in Harvard. They made a plan. They would lie to their parents to drop them off at the movies so they could search for Susan. Their parents agreed. Zoe packed everything they would need and Trever’s mom dropped them off. Right when his mom left they went to the train station. A few delays like going on the wrong train but they finally got to Harvard and started walking in trying to find Susan’s classroom.
Chap: 28-29
They found the building and decided to eat lunch. After they ate they went to Susan’s classroom to find out her assistant was there instead. Susan’s assistant told them they could find Susan in her office. She told them where Susan’s office was. Trevor and Zoe started running to Susans office because they were running out of time. Finally they made it. Susan did not recognize Marcus and Zoe and Trevor left without answers. The only thing was they gave Susan Zoe’s email.
Chap: 30-35
Zoe and Trevor took a cab instead of a train on the way back. When they got to the movie theater Trevor's mom pulled up. She had seen Trevor and Zoe get out of the cab. Zoe got home and Susan sent her an email that she remembers Marcus. Zoe told her parents and grandma what she did and she got grounded. Zoe’s parents took her phone and computer before Zoe could respond to Susan. Soon school started and Trevor was not mad at Zoe for getting him in trouble. A few days later Zoe’s parents and grandma came into the room and i t turned out that Zoe’s mom called Susan. Zoe’s parents showed Zoe the recording of the conversation with Susan. Zoe’s dad called a lawyer who was on the case. Zoe immediately wrote a letter to Marcus but couldn’t send it. That weekend Zoe and her parents baked Zoe’s cereal cupcakes and Zoe’s mom let Zoe send her letter to Marcus.
36-epilogue
Zoe finally got to meet Marcus in jail. They talked and Zoe found out he liked a lot of things she did. The innocence program finally got Marcus out of jail. Marcus worked a couple of jobs to make money to rent an apartment. A few days later they celebrated Marcus’s birthday. Marcus got Zoe a present even though it was his birthday. He got her a record player and records. They plugged it in and started dancing to the music. Soon everyone joined. Front desk
