3 Things To Do To Help You Dive
- Weight and Board Setting Affect Your Dive Near the back end of the diving board is something called the fulcrum. It looks like a big wheel on one side of the board. Next to it lies vertically a white stripe numbered 1-9. 9 is the closest to the end of the board while 1 is the closest to the front. You move the wheel to these numbers. If you move the fulcrum to 1, the board end that you jump off is shorter. If you move it to 9, the board that you jump off of is longer. This makes it bouncier. The more you have hanging off, the higher the board can bounce. If the board is very bouncy, your rhythm of jumping is slower. Jumping slower leaves more time for mistakes. That’s why a lot of beginner divers can’t use 9 as their fulcrum setting. The faster the rhythm, the easier it is. You don’t have as much time to make mistakes. The more power you have, the higher the board will push you. The lighter you are, the board will push higher. The opposite if you're heavy. That’s why most divers are muscular and skinny.
- How to jump higher No matter what dive your doing you have to jump. The board naturally pushes you so you have to jump up. If you don’t jump straight up, you're going to be too far away from the board and you won’t have enough air time. You have to bend your legs to a 135 degree angle or less. Just don’t go below a 90 degree angle or it will be too hard to push up. When your legs are pushing, your arms should be swinging. Your arms are used to drive you down then up. It’s one factor to where you're jumping. Keep your head naturally but look slightly down when jumping. Once in the air you can look straight.
- How does your abs help when diving Your abs are probably the most important muscle when diving. Divers require a strong core when diving. Your abs are what holds the shape of twists and flips. When twisting, if you don’t use your abs, you won’t spin evenly. Either the top part of your body spins faster or your bottom part of your body. When coming out of a dive, your abs are what makes the hollow position. If you’re arched, you will have a much bigger splash. When you come out of a dive too early or too late, your abs can save you. If you come out too early, you can use your abs to tilt you back. If you come out too late you can use your abs to push your upper body forward or drive your lower body back.
Digital Art
Digital art is artistic work done on technology. The main 15 types of digital art are: - Fractal/Algorithmic Art - Data-Moshing - Dynamic Painting - 2D Computer Graphics - 3D Computer Graphics - Pixel Art - Digital Photography - Photo-painting - Digital Collage - 2D Digital Painting - 3D Digital Painting - Manual Vector Drawing - Integrated Art / Mixed Media and Hybrid Painting - Raster Painting - Computer-Generated Painting There are a lot of differences between digital art and traditional art.
Pros:
Digital removes the waste of products. If you mess up you can easily erase and start over. In some traditional art mediums you would have to buy everything again and start from scratch. Digital are also removes the restrictions of traditional art. If you want to paint, you would have to go and buy paint, paint brushes, and paper. In digital art you can simply choose a paint brush setting and “paint”. Also, there are so many more things that digital art allows. Like adding layers. In traditional art, it's one layer so if you mess up you can’t really change anything. It’s easier to share digital art. Just turn your artwork into a shareable format, like a PNG, and share. In traditional art, you have to take a photo of the work before sharing. With a photo there is a lot that can go wrong, like lighting issues.
Cons:
It’s an investment to start. You have to buy some sort of technology to use, an art program, and other things depending on what type of digital art you choose to do. You also it’s easier to accidentally draw somewhere you don’t want to draw on. Without the feel of a pencil, the slightest touch of your palm can make a mark.
Use:
Digital art is normally used in media advertisements, producing visual graphic effects, animations in films, video games, etc. Crypto art has also become popular. You simply make your design and someone can buy the design from you.
